I planted quite a few beans to come in this fall for farmers market, and someone has asked me to save them some seed. If it were earlier, I would just leave them till they dried out, but with frost likely soon will the integrity of the seed will be damaged? Now they are getting pretty full and starting to turn lighter.

when they are fully mature pick them and hang them with string to dry, where frost will not hurt them.

I don't think frost will hurt them. Biggest problem is insects stings. What Bryant says is good advice but many here just leave them in the field to dry. Once dry, they clean them and put in airtight container and stick in the freezer.
