SAV Recharge

Just picked up a few straws of SAV Recharge that I will use next spring along with a few straws of his brother Resource that I still have. I have a handful of Resource daughters in production and am very pleased but wanted to hear from those who have daughters of bulls so I can start thinking about which front line cows will get bred to those bulls in hopes of producing replacement heifers

I have used a bit of Resource and Renown but the BW and calving ease EBV's do pose a problem. I have a couple of cows of each of those in the herd and they seem to be handy cows but the BW EBV's do seem to be correct, I had a Renown cow this year have a 52kg heifer calf, SS Brickyard was the sire and he is supposed to be low BW, calving ease. She did not have any trouble, just like shelling peas. When I was selling a few bulls I had to watch the BW EBV as around here most cows calve unattended in remote paddocks and most people want a low BW bull but I only sell a couple of bulls now so I can breed more to what I like.
