I sprayed the sand burs down with roundup used my riding mower to cut them close to the ground as possible then lightly disced the thickest area up that had those sand burs since I had a bag of oats left over and I bought some rye and put both down. It has not rained on the area but still had enough moisture in the ground and frosts to make the oats grow. I think these trouble areas I will keep them where I could plant oats in the fall and some millet in the spring its in my calf pasture.

I plan on using msma in the spring though on the other areas. that area is always problematic growing grasses so I figured id see if the oats and stuff would grow there. I was tired of them growing back and me always getting them stuck in my boot laces so figured this would be opportunity to try a lil plot there.
