Just a couple of sale prices at sales held recently. Our bull/female selling season is upon us here in Australia.
Top price Santa at Yulgilbar Stud sale. $17,000 for a cow and calf
Top prices at Bizzy Brahman invitational sale. $17,000 for a 12 month old red Brahman heifer. Another polled heifer by a "DB bull (US)" made $10,000. Top price bull made $15,000 for a Winchester Magnum 999 (US) son. Other Magnum sons sold to $7/8,000.
Both top female prices of the two breeds were purchased by brothers who run separate breed herds.
Top Droughtmaster bull at the Glenlands stud sale held near Rockhampton made $65,000 and another at that sale made $55,000.
There will be some big prices coming up over the next two months with the Braford National sale and the Brahman week sale.

Off to a Brahman sale next weekend about 300 ks away then the week after next off to Rockhampton about 900 ks away. Interested in a grey heifer at the closer sale. Might try and buy a polled red bull at the other sale. There are 113 red polled ones to choose from in the line up of 1,048 bulls. Top prices could top 70 to 80,000. There are some magnificent Brahman bulls on offer.

Day one top for a grey was $30,000 and the top for a red was $44,000. So far on day two the top is for a red at $45,000. Some big named herds yet to sell today and tomorrow. :banana:

Tartrus Lancefiled Brahman sale sold to a high of $60,000 for a grey bull and $24,000 for a grey female.
