I have a couple questions;

1. While looking at a Bred Female sale report, in the description of the cow they had some abbreviations, such as Brk Mth or Sld Mth for Broken Mouth and Solid Mouth cows. The abbreviation in question was "Shr Sl", what does this mean? It was the Basset, Nebraska sale, in case it is a regional thing.

2. What are young fall calving cows going for in your area? Of particular interest would be sale reports from the midwest.

Based on the other abbreviations I would assume "Shr Sl", is short and solid.
Don;t know about cow prices, I've heard some pretty wild price differences from folks that claim they were at the same sale.

You can also search for Navasota Livestock Auction. Someone posted the link a week or so ago. It has current sale reports for what looks to be the whole country.
