I went to the local sale barn today. It's been awhile since I have ben to a sale and I was surprised at how cheap cattle were going. There was your normal cull stock selling but there was also a surprising number of good quality animals selling too. There were several very nice commercial red and black angus heifers 800 to 900 pounds sell for aout 67.00 per hundred weight. If my hay situation would have been better I would have picked up a few without regret.

You bet I've noticed. Futures have been doing a little better, but nothing to make you want to buy cattle.

look at futures today. Went down 2-3 cents.
