Safe to eat?

Hello,
I have just acquired a large supply of fresh lettuce. The only issue is they have the polymer seed plugs attached. Are these safe for the cows to eat?

I would not be feeding any animals plastics knowingly.

Can you post a pic? and what kind of polymer?

I would definitely research this and see exactly what kind of polymer it is. Some of these are used to retain moisture in the soil and are non-toxic and safe to consume. But I would be darn sure!
