Rye straw

Is there any problems feeding rye straw to beef cows. I am a little short on hay and I could feed it with my alfalfa bales. Thanks

Rye straw is coarse and not as good as say wheat straw or oats.
Good feed to mix with alfalfa. You won't have any problems.
