Runny Swollen Eyes

Turned a group of heifers in a pasture that is very tall fescue Saturday morning. Checked them yesterday afternoon, about 6 out of 35 have swollen eyes nearly shut and runny. These have been vaccinated for pink eye, my dad thinks it was from scratching there eyes on the seed heads when grazing. The eyes are clear with no spots like I have seen in pinkeye. Has anyone else had this issue?

I've been dealing with the same issue cept some of mine are turning white. I think its time to get the mower out! :roll: B&G

Would you recommend clipping the pasture?

Not that many but had the same problem. Will clip grass high.
