Round bales with old corn stalks

Last year field was in corn.

This spring disked the corn stalk fodder in best I could, then "no-tilled" a mix of clover, alfalfa, and grass.

With the lack of rain, just now got the first cutting off and baled.

The question. When raking, I pulled in the last of the corn stalk residue, and it is now in the bales. Will this greatly impact the intake of the bales over the winter? Enough stalks to notice, but still a small percentage of each bale.

I know there are those who feed corn stalks, but those tend to be baled in the fall, not the middle of the next summer.

I do the same thing every year, rotate corn with millet, oats or perennial. No harm in the corn stalks. Cows won't eat them but will sort out the hay with no problem. If you feed in bunks there will be more clean up then usual. I like to feed this type stuff in the pastures. In cold weather the stalks make wonderful bedding.
