backhoeboogie, Thanks for the pic, is that sq tubing that slides down the uprights?

Yes. 2 by 4 scrap pieces. I had to look; some have scrap angle and some have scrap channel at that locale. LOL I am pretty sure that is old bed frame iron under the bows. Practically any old scrap or short iron cut-offs will work. Gussets are what give it strength.
