Romagnola breed info

Help Support CattleToday:

I have been using a Romagnola Bull for the last 5 years. The calves do have a small birth weight and at six months old are from 500 to 700 pounds. I use this bull on crossbread cows. We have a calf processed every year and this is the best meat i've eaten. That's the good stuff, now for the only negitive i have found. The buyers don't seem to like the Romagnola cross calves at the sale barn and was even told this by the owners at one of the local barns. I seem to get doc'ed on all of these calves. No one can tell me why. I live near Houston Texas but that's no indication of where the buyers will be taking what they buy. My next bull will be Angus although, i'm still not done with my Romagnola.
