12 yr veteran Capitol police officer Brian D. Sicknick has died of injuries received during riot in which he was struck with a fire extinguisher by a protester.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has ordered the flags at the US Capital to be flown at half-mast.

Hard to believe that a bunch of "motivated misguided somewhat good ole boys" could get as far as they did. Did not involve any surprise attack or high tech or heavy weapons. Talk about being unprepared on the part of the capitol police. Good thing it wasn't an attack by our external enemies who are better trained, better funded and better organized.
