Hope your heifer is valuable $$ wise; otherwise, transport costs can rapidly eat up value of an animal on that long of a trip. Even "piggy-back" loads can be costly. For "single hauls" (one or more animals on a special haul) going rate in Texas is anywhere between $1.25 and $1.75 per loaded mile, one-way. Good luck!
