Well, I think they've grown enough I can see what they'll turn into now, so I'll give you a bunch of pictures

Starting with my favourite, Hera, 168 days old, Linebred from my homeraised bull Marko... She's just got a 'presence' that no other calf has, When she's beside you, she's definitely planted there... Great attitude, Momma is a moderate cow like grandma (Rosie)
Best qualities? Meatiness and weight
What I'd improve? Could be a little more feminine.

Next is Caddy's calf Copy (at least her name for now), 150 days old, Mother-son breeding, because Caddy just didn't "nick" with the Limo bull.. Certainly grows well, and her sisters are all good cows.
Best quality? Growth and probably udder and milk when she grows up
what I'd improve? She may be a little taller than what I consider ideal, probably be about Caddy's size I'm thinking

Third spot is Zecca (Prada's calf), linebred, full sibling mating, Caddy is grandma on both sides, 130 days old and doing alright. I think she'll grow to Momma's size which is about 1300 lb and a moderate frame (a score or two less than Caddy)
Best qualities? Great character, meaty butt, feminine.
What I'd improve? Less white, a little early to say what her 205 day weight will be, but I might wish for another 50 lbs on her.

She's terribly hard to get a picture of, she's always coming at you

#4 is Omega, Limo sired from Chroma (Caddy's oldest daughter).. She's young at only 100 days old, I think Chroma kinda outdid herself last year raising Sigma, the biggest calf of the year and it cost her this time, nevertheless, for her age she's doing really well, very bright and alert, and feminine..
Best qualities? feminine, should have a great udder and milk
What I'd improve? Probably could use a little more arse, the Limos just don't have what Markos calves have for butt.

#5, No name yet, Soho's calf, Limo sired, have 2 full sisters, age 1 and 2 years old (Haida and Saga), Never was able to get a good picture of her today, but in the first picture of Zecca, she's standing right behind her... Seems to be a pretty sweet character, though her family tends to lose their marbles and go nuts when you need them to stay calm the most.
best qualities? Good milking line, though she doesn't seem to have the growth she could have
what I'd improve? Definitely could have a meatier butt, Here's to hoping she is smarter than her family.. Udder quality has improved over the generations, so lets hope that keeps up
Younger full sister Saga this sprimg

Older full sister Haida as a yearling as well, she's raising a good calf this year for her first attempt

What do you think of them? I'll post the ones that don't make the grade as well here in a bit

Nice group of calves. I prefer 3 (the one with the white). If I had to pick one she would be an easy pick for me. Just has that look.
She is pretty.. The first one though, in person you perhaps see it better than in the pictures

Going to go with Hera. I like the second picture of her. But the description of her personality sold me.

I also like the first 3..pretty much in the order that you placed them. You ever think of running a herf bull? I'd think that would make a good cross with your cows.

We started off with Herf cows, the first 4 calves are all descendants of Josie (Hereford) and her Saler sired daughter Rosie.. At this point I have no intention of going back to Herfs, I like some parts of them, but I'd be going backward in many other aspects even looking really hard at bulls.. First three things that come to mind would be udders, feet, and prolapses!

I may re-up on my Saler at some point, but the plan for now is to get my old bull Hector back for at least a year to continue the linebreeding (3/4 sibling to Marko, and doesn't throw white), as well as buying a nice Gelbvieh bull calf to use on small cows.. Low birthweights isn't Hector's strong suit, but he sure makes nice calves. On the Saler front, Ideally I'd get a Gelbvieh x Saler bull, but finding one, let alone of quality isn't going to be easy! My motivation for keeping the Saler blood is calving ease, both direct and maternal has been great, calves are long, great milk from small udders, and I think with the docility of my herd now, and improvements in the breed, a bit of crazy isn't going to show too much. I'll add a post in a while with the pics of the related family members

They are looking good.. I'm jealous of your green grass- since all we've looked at most of the summer is "brown"..
I agree with you - I like the 3z calf best- got some nice length to her..
The one that catches my eye and brings back memories is 8z- nice looking heifer- and takes me back to my youth when the range around here was all covered with red white faces, roans, and spotted cattle.. She has probably the most feminine head on her. And if you believe what the Shoshone and some old angus bloodlines believe in- she should have the long flowing tail that reaches the ground- that they swear by..

Here are some that don't make the grade
Floppy (5z)

1Z

6Z, Magma..

9Z

I have to get a better, recent pic of 2Z.. she looks good from the side, with a nice deep chest, but looks blah from the front or back
