In south Texas I went to what they called a "Remuda". There were about 20 horses in a small pasture and when a cowboy hollered a command in Spanish and all the horses formed a straight line and the cowboys walked over and caught the horse they wanted to used that day. The horses always lined up in the exact same order every day.
Don't know how long it took them to teach the horses their correct place in the line!
