I am new to the red angus breed and was wondering about a 2 month old heifer calf that I bought at a sale with her momma. I didnt know if the association would send me the papers like if she was an older heifer or do I wait till weaning and then contact them. I may just need to contact the RAAA and ask them. Thanks for any help.

If the pair was sold and the registration papers transferred to the new owner - you - like the seller should you should own a registered cow and a claf that you have the option on registering or not. You will need to be a member of the RAAA and they will send you performance sheets to fill out the BW,WW, YW and so on. At this time you pick to compute the data(not register), register or pre register. The seller should have done the registration transfer as a cow with calf at her side, if this was done correctly then everything else will go smooth. You will need to join the RAAA if you haven't already to register animals.
