They can't be registered as Angus with the American Angus Assoc. To register an Angus calf, both parents must be registered Angus, all their parents must be registered, etc. Brangus is a 5/8 Angus-3/8 Brahman breed. So, I doubt they would qualify as Brangus. There is a fairly new breed association, Angus Plus. It's a cross between Angus and Brangus. The Red Angus Association maintains their records, but either color, red or black qualifies.
