i have a lot of weeds and briars in a pasture. i want to redue field. would it be good to just drill field in marshal rye then plant red clover this feb. or do i need to kill off the field first

The weeds would be enough of a problem, but unless you're trying to make quail and rabbit habitat you need to get rid of the briers
