I attended a cow/calf herd dispersal that contained Black Angus, Herefords, and registered Red Polls. The Red Polls had a much less of a hair coat than the other English breeds. Is that typical?

I wouldn't think so but I don't look at Red polls next to angus. They seem more easily affected by lice than our Lims. I'll see about a pic for you.

Not with our Red Polls. We had our junior livestock show last weekend and our cattle had more hair than any other breed.
