This is a first-half heifer. She is out of a commercial Hereford cow by an AI Red Angus bull, possibly Redemption. We AI'ed her to Barstow Bankroll and got this brockle-faced bull calf. I just found this forum and would love to see what people thought of the pair.

I am not a cattle expert by any means. several people on this forum can tell you all the good/bad characteristic of both the cow and calf. I just think the heifer seems to have good size and I always like the brockle-faced calves. It looks like you take good care of your herd also based on the 2 pics.

Very nice pair. 1st CH is impressive for her condition, depth of body and I particularly liked her long feminine head. Looks she's off to a good start.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. We like this cow quite a bit and are impressed with the bull calf, too. Coming from a Hereford family I appreciate seeing the pop of color in the sea of black, and it just makes it that much better that it's a quality animal.
