recommendations for steel corner posts

I am going to put in a few 3 inch sch 40 pipes with h bracing or half bracing. How much concrete do you recommend to put in holes with posts? what size holes? do you stop a foot short from the ground level or do you take the crete to the top of the hole

I prefer to put a little dirt in the bottom of the hole to hold the post in place then put cement on top that. I dont take cement to the top because I like the ground to settle back to normal on top the cement and make kind of an anchor in the ground. Some people claim the dirt against the post makes it rust faster but it hasn't been an issue for me. Good pipe lasts a long time.
