Last night a bud of mine hits a wild turkey with his truck and he brought the bird to me to clean. It was too dark outside to see the bird. When I turns on the lights in the barn and I realized the bird I'm holding is a peacock!!! Apparently my bud mistook it for a turkey and now I'm unsure what to do with the peacock. I have never eaten a peacock before. I already clean and skinned it and I was thinking of smoking it? Or I could try new recipes for this bird? Any ideas?

If nothing else I'm sure it would make good soup! Our neighbor across the river has several.. every morning we hear their call.. HELP!! HELP!! HELP!!!... Don't know what they're doing to those poor birds over there!

Friend of ours raised the accursed things, he cooked thme just like wild turkeys. Very lean meat and tend to dry out if over cooked.
