I found a recipe that makes a cake in my slow cooker, but am not too sure about part of the instructions.
So here is the recipe:

Dump Cake

20 oz. can crushed pineapple, undrained
21 oz. can of blueberry or cherry pie filling
18.5 oz pkg yellow cake mix
ground cinnamon
1/2. butter, cut in small pieces
1c. chopped nuts
vanilla ice cream

Grease bottom and sides of slow cooker. Spread layers of pineapple, pie filling and cake mix. Be careful not to mix the layers. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Top with pieces of butter and nuts.
Cover and cook on high 2-3 hours. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Now my question. Is the cake mix still a dry mix or is it the wet mix? :help:
I'm hoping to make this on Friday for our roundup.
I do have enough stuff to make this both ways, but my slow cooker is full of beef right now for the barbeque beef sandwiches.

All the dump cake recipes I've seen, the cake mix goes in dry. No mixing required as it is a dump cake. Dump it in the pan and bake. When I used to make it (not supposed to eat that sort of thing any more) I used the lemon cake mix instead of the yellow cake mix.

If you havn't had dump cake before, it isn't going to have the lighness of cake. It is more of a heavy gooie mess, but is is pretty good. I even threw some chocolate chips into one once.
