Has anyone ever used Longhorns as recip cows? If you got heifers early enough to dehorn, they are very reasonable to purchase. Could they birth an 85 pound calf after they have their first calf? What are the pro's and con's?

I have seen longhorns as recips for Hereford embryos. They seem to be big hipped and can throw a calf. Most milk like crazy. I would definitely think about it and might do it if I were you.
