range cube shortage

My local TSC sure had a mountain of 50 pound bags of Bluebonnet brand rubes this weekend. $6.49 each. Used to be 50 cents per bag cheaper if you bought at least 20; don't know if they still offer that discount

The oil industry is purchasing the cotton by products. I don't know what they do with it, but our feed mill told us that was the issue with the shortage and higher prices.

Cottonseed meal has loosened up a little from what I'm hearing and seeing. Still hard to find the 40% cubes but seems to be plenty of the 20% cubes now. Have heard of prices as high as $9.50 per bag in some stores though. That won't work for me. Bought a ton last saturday for $6.10 less $.10 per bag for buying a ton. Same store was selling corn for $7.15 per bag. :roll:
