Has anybody on here ever gotten a ranch raised quarter horse from a big ranch like the Haythron Land and Cattle Co. or CS Cattle Co. or Pitchfork Ranch, etc.? If so how are they and are they reasonably priced?

Adam's sold two red ranch horses this year. First one sold for 3500, the second for over 7,000. They were good horses but I didn't think they were worth that kind of money.

If one of the reputation outfits sell you a ranch horse you can bet on likin it. It'll be a good using ranch horse or they wont sell it for that purpose. As for being reasonable....guess it depends on what you call reasonble and what your needs are...how much time are you going to spend together? To me a $3500 using horse is more than reasonable but to D.R. Cattle that is more than he wants to spend and I can sure understand where he's coming from there because even I draw the line when you start talking about $7500 or $8500 dollars for one. Reasonable is in the eye of the beholder I guess.
