I've never had a cow that had twins.

You're a lucky man :D

Twins isn't so bad if things go well and both are strong.
I feel really blessed with my heifer.
Things went good and they are growing great and actually got her bred back three months after she came fresh. I know most farmers around here say it can be a nightmare trying to get a twin mom to breed back on a normal schedule.
She's like her dam. Easy breeder. One straw the first time, one straw this time.
Her pluses outweigh her cons, like her lack of udder.
Her dam is due in two weeks, we suspect twins from her too this time.

Twins are often more trouble then they are worth. We get around 5% twins annually and often nab one to pop onto cows/hfrs that lose one. Here we calve out on pasture & cows frequently give birth to one lick it off a bit & then commence Round 2 of labor & wander off only to have in up the other end of the paddock. This means we need to intervene by yarding them & reuniting calves with dam. Multiple-sex Twins are also a waste of a heifer.
