question on medication

I have a couple of brahma cows that are pregnant and will have the baby in may . The guy I bought them from said they were vaccinated . should they get any special mineral when they are with calf like women need special vitamins when they are pregnant. the guy said he did not know of anything special they needed. After reading on here it seams all of you know most of the answers.

All cattle should be fed a good mineral. Not a block, but loose mineral.
Have you got any kind of handling facility "just in case". If you have livestock, there is always a need to have to handle them. Sickness, injury, difficult calving, etc.
It doesn't have to be fancy. An old dairy headlock, used headlock with wooden side panels, or gates. Something to keep them under control if you need to work on them - for their safety and yours.

I would add high quality hay and make sure they have the proper nutrition, possibly supplementing with cubes. If you haven't already, I would strongly recommend a good relationship with your/a local vet.
