i think vibrio & trich can cause a strung out calf crop. you may think the cows are not catching, but actually get bred & lose the fetus or it is reabsorbed & the cow comes in heat again. i started vaccinating for lepto & vibrio the last two years b/c of strung out calf crop & it sure has helped. they claim trich is becoming quite prevalent in the mid west.
