I have some registered red brangus heifers and was wondering can they be bred to a registered black brangus bull. Could the resulting calf be registered?

Katie,
My first thought would be no. But you might check with the Red Brangus Association and se if you could register the red offspring from that mating. The blacks would just be commercial cattle.

I am planning on AIing all my cows and there is a lot more choices with black brangus bulls than red. So just wandering might just have to go buy some registered black cows or heifers.

Check the classified ads here at Cattle Today. Google Brangus Cattle For Sale and you'll find lots of them.

For those who are interested I talked to the Brangus Association and as long as both animals are registered with the association you can register the calf.
