Question about a retained placenta.

We had the retained placenta deal years ago and after 6 days I gave the placenta a good pull and it came loose. With that being said the cow didn't breed back either. I plan on trying Lute today and see what happens. I'm going to call my vet and see what his thoughts are, and if I can or should give her some more bolus.
