Thought I would give everyone a quick safety lesson. Wood blocks for blocking up equipment SHOULD NEVER be stood on the ends To hold up equipment. Lay them down or better yet buy quality jack stands. We get To bury my first cousins husband in a couple days from a wood block that split and let the equipment fall.

:bang: Dang it! Sorry to hear that Mdash. I lost a friend many years ago to a similar accident. Those things happen far too often I am afraid.

Sorry to hear about that. I was just looking at a block the other day that I use under the cattle trailer thinking "If I stand it on end I won't have to crank it so much".

TB, Im as guilty as anyone on using blocks and I use 6x6 ones. never in my wildest dreams would I have thought a block would split like that. I have always stood one up when I would work on my mower. I will use them laying down from now on if and jack stands. I wont soon forget what I saw Saturday.
