Proud of Tennessee today.....

Well, that will certainly rile the anti gun forces--but good for TN..
The carrying teachers need to be volunteers, trained like nobody's business, and they need to be paid. Like a coach or a theatre teacher. They should be bonded, and it goes without saying they should be tough as nails. Good for TN.

I bet more teahers than the public ever dreamt possible have a little something something strapped to their ankle.

I'd be proud too Hoss. You know, Kennessaw Georgia passed a law some years back that every homeowner who was of sound mind and had the means had to own a firearm and ammunition to protect themselves and the community. The antis had a fit over this but crime in that town dropped by 89% as compared to a 10% drop for the whole of Georgia. Statistical anomoly? I think not.

Last week my niece was in Atlanta for some software training. She is single, 26 and rather pretty along with being naive. She decided to walk the mile from her hotel to the Underground not knowing the area. She got there and was constantly harrassed and followed. She left and started to run back. She was finally seen by the police who stopped and asked her if she was ok. They escorted her back to the hotel. They told her how dangerous it was. She has been neutral on guns but Saturday she told me she is wanting to get her CCW now.

Atlanta is not a good place for a young girl to walk by herself.
Aklanta is not a good place for a Navy Seal to walk by himself.
Now a fully equipped Navy Seal team fully armed watching the young girl walking by herself would be a good way to rid the town of some undesirables.

Not that i think this is a bad idea because i do think more armed citizens is the answer, who decides which teachers are sane enough to carry a gun? The teachers today are not the same as they were even 20 yrs ago. I see news all the time about teachers abusing kids

That's great for Tennessee, now we need about 49 more sales to follow suit, but I bet y'alls favorite son Al Gore isn't liking it. He will probably get so hot under the collar that the earth's tempture will rise a degree or two.

Them folks in Tn. may think like us in Arkansas. 8 years of Clinton-Gore was a small price to pay to be rid of them.

You would like to think all teachers were sane enough to own and shoot guns. After all most working folks trust them raise our kids. We know quite a few teachers personally and everyone of them would die protecting their kids. A good teacher makes a bond with the kids that last a lifetime. I'am looking at 60 and I remember the names of most of my teachers, because they cared.

Highgrit thats another part of the problem today letting other people raise our kids. I never needed help in raising my kids, teachers job is to educate them mine was to make sure my kids were ready to be educated.
