Price of Beefmaster Semen

Why is beefmaster semen so expensive? Do the breeders not want there breed to grow and get bigger? Most other breeds are between $15 and $40 a straw. Anyone know why the semen is this high?

the reason that the semen is so high is because the breeders only keep an promote the best bulls.now if you want to fill your tank with beefmaster semen.go to some of the beefmaster sales.they sell alot of the top bulls semen there.an you can buy alot of semen for $25 to $75 a straw or less.now if you get the beefmaster cowmen. theres alot semen in there that any cattleman can afford.

I would think that they would charge only what the market could bear?
