pot belly rebound?

Had twin heifers. One figured out how to find the creep feed - the other never got it. The one grew well, the other looked terrible. Weaned them early. The scruffy pot belly actually seems to be coming around - base is widening, belly returning to normal, cow hock straightening . . . never really kept a pot belly long enough to see if it would turn around. I'm actually inclined to think I see a reasonable heifer in there. How common is that?

It takes a while but a potty calve can be made to look normal. Takes good feed but she may never decelop to her full potential because of stunting early on

had one neighbor who would turn little holstein heifers out to pasture at 2-3 months of age with nothing else to eat. all turned into pot bellies, but he always had good cows that milked good
