Pot-bellied steer

We have a show steer that is pot-bellied and we would like to know how we could go about getting rid of it. He is wormed monthly(not with the same brand),gets coastal hay and is eating about 23 lbs. of L&E 150. He is also worked on a daily basis. His water is also treated with Corrid and Electrolytes. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Take it off the hay. Start feeding grain and only like a hand full of hay a day. If he is on straw, take him off.

L&E 150 can do that sometimes. Decrease the hay consumption and replace it with cotton seed holls. He needs the roughage but not the weight that the hay has. Hope that works.

Make sure your #150 is consistent in moisture.
