Chrisy,
You still have the right to vote there don't you?
Yeah we do....but our rights to bare arms went out in about 1947. :( never to return.

What I think is odd is that we recently inacted the "castle law" which I'm told was fashioned after a law that was on britain's books. Of course I may be wrong.

So chrisy, nobody there has guns. What are the laws?
I would be in trouble. I have bought 4 in the last week and 8 in the last month.

Laws are fairly strict, need licence, secre gun cabinate etc, Not to difficult to get a shotgun, rifle more difficult (different licence to shotgun), hand guns really not easy. Still law I belive that they have to be held in the gun club where you use them.

There are age restrictions on buying knives, and nobody should carry any thing that can be used as a weapon in public, open or conceled.

A sign that says "tresspasers keep out" is about as far as you can go,

This is a site that will tell you all you need to know about our Laws on Guns......http://www.marplerifleandpistolclub.org ... gunlaw.htm
My Husband used to hold a gun licence and have a few guns at home, now he only has Air Riffles, which they shoot in the Garden, when there is no animals or other persons within range. He has one that is just out of the range of a licence that is quite powerful, a Webley I think it's called. I also used to own a licence I belonged to a gun club and was quite a good aim, so I was told.
We can have signs up saying 'Private Property, Trespassers will be Prosecuted' and you can use reasonable force if someone comes into the home without being asked.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... ution.html
Knives are different law....http://www.bkcg.co.uk/guide/law.html
hope this clears up a few things on our Outlandish Laws.

Same laws pretty much here in Australia.

Of course all it does is affect the innocent.

The criminals don't have any problems. There have been a few drive by shootings on the Gold Coast recently who according to the News are having big trouble with violent criminals at the moment.

Thanks chrisy, just odd to me. I have a conceled permit that allows me to carry most places and in many states. I am going to a gun show this weekend where all you have to do to buy a gun is have the cash. I will buy several i am sure. Last time there a buddy bought and sold 9 guns in one day and only left with two that he already had orders for. From a gun shop here it is harder, they do a background check and in Virginia you are only allowed to buy 1 a month. Sure helps business outside the gun shops.
