OMG, it shouldn't be this hard!! Bought a new truck, gave my old one to my stepson. New insurance forms arrive with my new truck listed as an F150 and completely different VIN number than my 2025 F250. Nope! Get the "corrected" forms and it's listed as a 2025 Silverado but with the correct VIN. Nope! Get the title and it's in Mr. TC's name only instead of both. Nope! But in the grand scheme of things, not a big deal. Finally get the correct insurance and head to the tag office. Except neither of us noticed the dealer spelled Mr. TC's name wrong on the title. Nope! So, the wonderful lady at the tag office said no big deal. Sign this Affidavit to a Fact with the correct info and we'll have a new, legit title in no time. 😖

They must have been a DEI hire.

I broke a ripper shank on my Glencoe plow I bought last December. $520 shipped to Riverton. I won't need it until next year, but figured I had better get it now as it might be more next year. That is if I can even find one.

I was faced with a conundrum this afternoon. I went in to renew my driver's license, and one of the questions on the form asked for hair color. It's been quite a while since I was asked that on a form, and I didn't know which box to check. In the past it would have been brown without any hesitation, but that was no longer the case.

After about 0.5 seconds of deliberation I decided that the gray hairs now outnumber the brown ones, so I checked the box for gray.

I never think much of it, until I see myself in a picture and wonder where all that white came from. Wife tells me it makes me look distinguished. I think she means extinguished.

white, gray or grey?
Yeah, women comment on mens' salt & pepper look until the pepper all goes away.......

(I never really thought about it much but during a conversation with my oldest sister a few weeks ago, I was informed that "You came back from over there with some gray hair" and that was 54 years ago)
One of my male cousins once remarked "Yep, our hair turns, but it don't turn loose" . There's no male baldness in my family.
I do remember, sometime around 1990, when I worked for an oilfield chemical company,..after mixing about 50 bags of powdered lignite for drilling mud, going to wash up and glanced at a mirror and saw myself with dark brown hair for the first time in many years. I also looked like a raccoon, with only my eyeballs being white against very dark circles.

A few years ago my wife took a picture of me when I was looking the other way. When she showed it to me later my first reaction was "Who's that old man?" Then I noticed the shirt looked just like mine, and the mystery was solved.

Wait, was that your CT Family pic? Because I love that pic! Just totally random and captured the moment.

No. My daughter took that one, but I'm glad you like that one. I feel like it's one of the better ones ever taken of me. I always feel, and look, awkward when I know someone is taking my picture, but that wasn't the case with that one.

Same here. I tell others if they want my picture, they need to sneak up, point and click fast. Now, it's different when I have grandkids with me because I can look goofy and have an excuse.
