He was working. He got 21 out of 22 cows. Other cow was covered by a crappy hereford. But Lost him, Beefcake, died early this spring. He was only about 5-6. Had to weigh nearly 2k. That was a loss

Has anyone here eaten bear meat? In Oregon you have to have a bear tag and wasting the meat is a crime. People have told me it is nasty tasting meat. Of course, this dependes on the time of year and what the bear has been feeding from.

It's as good as the best beef roast as long as the bear is killed in the fall and in good condition. I've heard that a spring bear tends to be nasty. The paws make a good soup.
