He was working. He got 21 out of 22 cows. Other cow was covered by a crappy hereford. But Lost him, Beefcake, died early this spring. He was only about 5-6. Had to weigh nearly 2k. That was a lossScream indeed!!

It's as good as the best beef roast as long as the bear is killed in the fall and in good condition. I've heard that a spring bear tends to be nasty. The paws make a good soup.Has anyone here eaten bear meat? In Oregon you have to have a bear tag and wasting the meat is a crime. People have told me it is nasty tasting meat. Of course, this dependes on the time of year and what the bear has been feeding from.
