So a protected "Furbearer" has been illegally trapped, illegally transported and illegally relocated? Or did ODF&W issue a permit?
I know nothing . . .NOTHING! said Sargent Scholz in Hogan's Heros.

It 'might' have been such a pretty little animal. I 'might have' never felt such care and concern about a varmint

That? Or a nuisance animal that was threatening the safety of a home was humanely trapped, humanely transported, and humanely relocated in lieu of being euthanized to protect a family.
You could tell that story to a judge and see where it gets you........... It gets you a verdict of guilty. And the fine for doing that is.......

As far as I know you can shoot any animal that is actively engaged in attacking you or your property.

And yeah, I doubt a fox sh**ing on your back porch constitutes danger of any actual significance so a court wouldn't take that idea seriously.

Just offering an alternative perspective.

I've tried to have problem animals trapped and removed. Some requests were successful and some weren't. I know I'd do what @TexasJerseyMilker did and have a clear conscience.

Crossbreed, I worked in those same areas in the late 80s early 90s.
Yes, it was colder than crap in winter. Our base of operations was in Elk City but we worked as far East as El Reno and Watonga and West to Sayre. Those were big iron up there in the Anadarko.

And then put it on the "internet". 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Found some fescue blades yesterday that came up to between my belly button and chest. Almost 4 foot long. Really surprised me. Wide too!
My wife just laughs when I suggest anything beyond the belly button and then tells me I need to fertilize it or just stick with Johnson grass.
Just had 33 loads of broiler litter delivered and spread last week, and hopefully some rain from Francine, so she's hoping to see some improvement real soon.

I sure wish litter could be had in my area. I'd 100% cover the whole place with a good dose.

The ground I pictured hasn't seen a single input other than seed since 2019 or so. Though, I did unroll a lot of hay there over winter.

It looks pretty dry qhere you're at, rain been missing yall too?

24 month old Heifer had a bull calf last night. Her front left quarter doesn't work evidently.

This small set of heifers are smaller framed than I'm use to. Their 12 month old sisters are only an inch or two shorter. I'm looking forward to seeing what size calf they wean.

I've got their 24 month old paternal brother in with my cousins little herd. Thinking about using him on the 2023 heifers this winter.

It's been an odd summer. We started out dry and hotter than normal for May and June, then the remnants of Beryl rolled through early July and we've had cooler/wetter than normal for July and August. I think we've only hit 100 degrees one or two days this summer.
It was getting dry late August through early September, but right after that litter was spread we got a good rain. Timing was perfect, and we may get some rain from the outer bands of Francine later today/tonight.

I can never seem to understand why people don't hit the reply button before responding to a prior post. I'd like to see the bull, but so many of these comments are replying to posts that are buried five pages back and scrolling back has become tedious.

But there are weights you can buy to put on horns, and Herefords have the weights put on early in life if they want pretty horns. Not sure if all the time, but I've seen them.
