Post a random picture

About 15 years ago I got a phone call from a guy that I'd hired to operate a dozer on some next door acreage I'd just bought.
He said "I think you need to come home and take care of a cow". She had a perfectly rolled up rusty barb wire necklace.
I remembered seeing a couple nicely wound old rusty coils hanging on top fence posts as if they were leftovers, or staged for the next repair. Didn't think a thing of it at the time, but much more careful about stray wire now.

Picture from one of the last of the Florida cattle drives, around 1910. These are the holding pens at Punta Rassa, where the cattle were loaded to be shipped to the Carribean. These are Florida Cracker cattle in this photo. No Brahma influence. When they have Brahma influence they are called Florida Scrub. 1747141276575.png

Went and checked on the 1, 2, and 3 year olds I've got down the road. Looks like I need to take another dozen head to make use of all the grass. Letting it rest all fall and winter sure did it some good.

Yellow tags are 2023 models bred to Franchise. Ive got three yearlings in there... a white, a yellow, and a chocolate.
