My dog, Wobble, has been skunked four times in the last year. The first time, smell lingered in the house and on him for days... like weeks, worth of days... Even though I immediately got him outside to roll in the dirt and grass then bathed him.

The second time, l sent him back out to roll while I grabbed a bottle of Pooph to spray the furniture he'd contaminated in 3.87 seconds. When he was done rolling, I misted him with Pooph and rinsed his eyes with water and wiped his face. After he calmed down I gave him a sponge bath (it was 3 am). When my husband got home from the rig that morning he said he could smell the skunk outside. but not in the house or on Wobble.

You can find Pooph in the "As seen on TV" section at Dollar General and Walmart.

edit: sorry I'm late to the topic.

Now that I think about it, I have done this before myself. Tied the empty gas can off inside the truckbed to keep it from coming out, drive somewhere and the wind blows the can out over the tailgate and i never noticed it when I got out............. till I got back home and parked again.. at least that's 1 personal explanation.

An almost perfect day in the life of a dog. About 70 degrees. The sunshine is warm on the hair and the slight north breeze is cool. The sky is beautiful blue with some cotton balls floating across the sky.

This is the guy that lays in my path and causes me to trip and break my neck. I love him in spite of his fault. May be the only one he has. Compared to me, he's top shelf.

My darlin companion came and saved the dog. Now I'm alone, waiting on the garden hose to fill the tank. What else am I gonna do with thirty minutes and stay outta trouble?
