Help Support CattleToday:

Probably not but the ones I opened in 70/71 looked about the same and some of those were quite old. (They did taste better than they looked tho)
When I was a kid, my best friends dad supplied us from about 1975 thru 1985. Every hunting or fishing trip, deer camp, hiking, etc. We figured out which ones were "best", and figured out how mix different items together, just to alter the texture/flavor. A small bottle of Tabasco or Louisiana Hot Sauce in a coat pocket seemed to be a requirement.

Seems like some of those came with a little bottle of hot sauce.

A few heifers that'll get a chance wirh the bull next year. I'm not yet sure if I'll keep the darkest, her dam isn't the best milker, but the grand-dam was my favorite cow to date. Yes...like a crayon box. 😃

Pics # 2, 3, and 5 are out of homeraised bull.
Your herd bull did a GREAT job. I love them!

My friends dad may have been mispackaged inventory because there were only 3 or 4 different "entrees", and I don't remember Tabasco.
Later on, after we had exhausted his supply, we switched to MREs. We could buy them at the local pawn shop for $30 case (12 meals). They tasted better, and always had the tiny bottle of Tabasco

The MRE's is probably where i remember the Tabasco. Some of those were still not great.

Exactly! We had 1 door we could get out of.

Are you getting buried in snow? Sounds like your area is getting quite a bit?
No. Buffalo area is getting hit. We have a light snow cover. Hoping not to get too much before our ground freezes down.....a LOT!
Normal is 1 to 2 feet. We have to bury water lines minimum of 4 FEET.

"Normally" our snow gets too deep and crusted for cattle to graze stockpiled feed. LOL, I say "normally" because last year they could have grazed all winter if there was stockpiled grass - but they would quickly ruin the fields churning them up. We have about 1-2 feet of top soil. Turns into a mud whollo in a hearbeat.
