Yes, but that had nothing to do with the statement about grading. It had no reference to CAB at all.It is USA inspectors at the plant that grade qualifying carcasses CAB or not.

You said "Yes, but that had nothing to do with the statement about grading. It had no reference to CAB at all.
And I said " Yes. it is USDA inspectors that grade whether a carcass gets CAB or not.USDA has nothing to do with CAB.
reckon it's just how he's standing?Any thoughts on how that sway back will work out?
Did you get to go to the desert? Seems that picked up some precipitation the last few weeks.I'm planning on turning them out on the cows next week.

I don't think they got much rain this spring at my uncles ranch. The game and fish wants them to rest the daley pasture, so they are going to be short grass. My uncle has to take care of his kids before me. It is looking like I am going to have to keep them home and feed them all summer. Fortunately I have the feed. With the low price of hay last year I kept all my hay.Did you get to go to the desert? Seems that picked up some precipitation the last few weeks.
A little straight in the back legs (could just be the way he was standing at that moment) but otherwise he's got length, plenty of muscle, not a lot of waste anywhere. Looks like a money maker...One of our bulls looking towards some cows he heard call from way off in the distance. He was near a fence calling back since none of the ones with him were standing at the moment. He has always been a good boy, easy to work with and takes his job serious. His calves will almost all arrive in the first 3 weeks. He is a Cedar Ridge son out of one of my favorite Really Windy daughters. I AI selected cows to carefully chosen bulls to make replacements and to bring in new blood. Sometimes I will also keep a bull for my own use.

I'm no expert on horned cattle... but isn't that a pretty mature horn for a two year old?2 year old we added this year.

No, I currently have 3 two year olds and his are probably smaller than the other 2. There horns were turned with weights rather than being tipped.I'm no expert on horned cattle... but isn't that a pretty mature horn for a two year old?
I've seen the weights used. It's kind of interesting how that works. But this one looks like the horn is getting close to the face. Will it require trimming soon? No, I currently have 3 two year olds and his are probably smaller than the other 2. There horns were turned with weights rather than being tipped.
Might want to feed them a little...I'm planning on turning them out on the cows next week.
