We are going to be getting some new animals. There are 3 cow/calf pairs, and a cow that lost her calf due to weather. In the pairs, there are two with bull calves and one with a heifer. We are going to get the pair with the heifer calf for sure, and probably at least one with a bull.

They are all registered Pinzgauers. Two of the cows are polled Purebreds, and the other two are Fullbloods. The calves were born in November and December.

Here are pictures of some of them:

Can't tell much from the pictures. Who are you getting them from?

We don't see a lot of Pinzgauer cows in this area. They seem to be discounted in the sales barn. Is there a cross that will take the white stripe off their back?

They do usually sell for less at the sale barn, so we try to sell ours privately.

There is nothing you can breed them to to get rid of the stripe. One breeder had one born without the stripe, and everyone thought it was strange. The stripe is passed on through the generations, too.
