I have a chance to put some replacement heifers on a friend's place for the winter. The only water source is a pond. I used to use the propane bubblers way back when & the floating windmills also used to be everywhere, but I can't find a source for either one. I could probably rig up some sort of bubbler if I had the time. Anyone have any sources or suggestions? Thanks!

Not sure of your location so not sure how bad your weather gets. I have a pond where I have so e cattle and most of the time it doesn't freeze hard enough that the cows can't bust it there selfs. Sometimes when we get a few days of really good weather it will freeze over solid but once a day I take a axe and cut a couple big squares of ice out and the cows can drink from that.

KCMO area. Ice will get 4-6" thick some winters. I grew up in NE MO & no stranger to chopping ice. I can't be at this place every day, thus chopping ice is not an option. Thanks though.
