Looks good. I'd have been wondering what I was doing with a 6 foot bush hog at first though. I've gotten spoiled by the HX15.

I have a batwing but on another farm 18 miles away. I just bought that one its a heavy duty unit I will use and keep on the farms of that end of the county. It got broken in for sure.

That's a ridiculous amount of sweet gums, the field must be surrounded by them. Same thing here. Your weeds look just like the ones here also, dominated by dog fennels. You got there just in time looks like, before the dog fennels blossomed out. After they blossomed out you'd need a respirator to avoid lung damage and safety goggles for your eyes and you'd have to clean out the air intake on the tractor every 15 minutes.

Nice work, i love it with the slasher, not around the field but straight down the middle. For me I'd use a flail mower, chops everything up much smaller. However looking at the seeding video everything was flowing nicely, i would have thought the trash may have been catching and building up.

Ya know there is a ton of those sweet gums but they are mostly in the woods its more pine around the field I may make a video of it as I have to go over there and check the fields to see how they look after 2 inches of rain. i should have chisel plowed the gums but i didnt do it may next year if they are still a problem. You are right but I still had a respirator on anyway lol The tractor didnt need too much cleaning I only cleaned after I refueled but the air filter needs changing after all that dust for sure.

Yea, not sure a flail would have did a good job on some of those trees and such. I was worried about the trash but the disk seems to have id a good job cutting it up even finer ... We will see how it comes up to determine

Looking good! What all did you drill? If you said so previously, I must've overlooked it.

You bet! Good to know. Any particular reason you broadcasted the wheat but drilled the fescue, did it have to do with varying seeding depths or ease of mixing seeds? I have drilled wheat and broadcasted annual rye in my own pastures but haven't put down fescue as of yet. I almost did, but opted for rye instead bc of cost. I have wondered how a wheat/fescue mix would do and the possible issues of trying to plant both at the same time.

Na my planter could do it both at the same time but I had already mixed the wheat seed in with the line and fertilizer that's generally what I do. In the spring I spray nitrogen and it makes dn good hay too good cows eat the bale up fast has a sweet smell to it
