Our Hereford bull ( same one that has the stifle injury ) was treated shortly after turnout around the last of May for pinkeye with our go to LA 300.
Cleared up quick then after his injury we pulled him out and have kept him in the barn since about the 9th of June.
We've been waiting on withdrawals for the 300 and wormer to sell him, now he has pinkeye again in the same eye.
We are probably going to treat him again with LA 300 but then have to wait atleast 28 days to sell, so there's that all over again.
I know some folks on here say that the sprays are worthless, but am weighing all options as I don't really want to have to wait out another withdrawal, but even as a pound bull a bad eye would get him mercilessly docked so there ain't much other options.

Penicillin under membrane on white of eye.

I dont see slaughter bulls docked for pinkeye. Might call the stockyard and ask the manager.

Thanks will do, that would sure be good. It doesn't make much sense that they would but seems like they dock for everything so I figured they would on that too.
He should be good for ground beef, he's young and been up on feed for over a month

I doubt you'll get docked much with a slaughter bull. How much will you end up spending if you treat again, plus feed and the additional withdrawal time? That said, I've squirted mastitis cream (Today) in a heifer with pinkeye and it cleared up. Was it the cream or did it just clear on its own? Dunno. But studies have shown it to be an off-label, effective treatment. I've used Veterycin to flush the eye but not as a treatment.

I've heard people claim that Nixall cures mastitis. Makes me wonder if it would work for pink eye too. 🤔 https://nixall.com/product/nixall-wound-and-skin-solution-otc/

We use Today or Tomorrow mastitis treatment in the eye... squirt a little under the eyelid so when they blink, it coats the eye. Withdrawal is a couple days for mastitis, and that is up the quarter... It seems to really help with the pinkeye, and it soothes the irritation in the eye also. We also do LA300 and/or Draxxin for bad cases, and usually stick a "bluejean" patch on the eye to give them some relief from the sun and flies...
