Pinkeye prevention with Vitamins

I've seen this information before, but could not remember the "receipe." Which vitamins (and how much to mix with the mineral) have had some success in pinkeye prevention? A, D, & E? Where do you get these vitamins - Vet, COOP, feed dealer? We already use a Hi Mag mineral with IGR (an insecticide that is supposed to kill fly larvae in manure) and CTC (antibiotic) during the "fly season."
We are in North central Missouri and have heard many success stories and would like to try it this year, as the flies are already starting to get thick. Thanks.

Vitamin A is for eye health, but cattle on green grass get enough from turning beta carotine into vitamin A. Vitamin E helps the immune system, which could help in fighting mild cases of pinkeye. You can get an A,D & E powder from most feed stores.
Fly control and dark eye pigment are your 2 best methods of fighting pinkeye. Long sharp grasses also make pinkeye a problem. Proper stocking rates and cattle oilers are recommended.
Jason Trowbridge
Southern Angus Farms
Alberta Canada
